Is this a Centurion? Ironman Master?
Calling all Centurion experts! I recently acquired this bike through a CL deal. It was built up from a frame with random parts to make a complete bike, so I know the parts aren't original. I was more interested in the frame, what year and model. I'm thinking it may be an Ironman Master. Serial number is N7L0178. All decals have been removed, except for "Centurion" on the top tube, I know, they are usually on the downtube. The serial number matches Centurion style, the seat stay caps and binder bolt match other master ID threads, lugs are shaped the same, no "C" notch on BB/CS lugs, tensioner bolt on rear dropouts and no fender eyelets, and solid red like an '89 master. If it is, that's cool, if not that's cool too. Its a pretty sweet build even with mismatched parts.

Also you can hang out here and get some answers .https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vi...aint-jobs.html Let me be the first to congratulate you on your Ironman . How about some more pics. that fork is interesting . OK a little more looking around on the CIM 80s' paint love page and it might be a 89' Master . Talk to Tex.

N7 would indicate late 1987 or early 1988, and yes it appears to be a Master. is there any other pictures of it like the Centurion logo on the top tube? the metallic Red that it appears to be, would indicate a repaint.
Some of the components if there was the original would indicate whether it was a 1988 or 1987. The seatpost with its graduated scale would indicate a 1987 model, Is there any other Shimano 600 Parts on it?
What are the rims are they Wolber or Araya?

markwesti, thanks for the congrats. The fork is a Kinesis Carbon2. Its pretty beat up, topcoat is flaking, and a weird corrosion at the fork crown/leg connection. It has me worried, so I think that's going to go. fleslider, thank you for the info. Cant believe I missed the seatpost, the one thing that would point to 87. It also appears to be the only original bit left. I think this one will get a full resto, very excited. Thanks again for all your help!
