I would like to know about this frame , I was buying another frame off this guy and he just gave me this one . It's been hanging in the closet for a while and now it's time to build . It has a serial number of KF 1 oo6 the sticker on the chain stay says custom paint by R. Brian Baylis it's Aluminum , head tube is for a one inch fork and it was set up for DT shifters .

It appears to to a repainted Nishiki Altron 7000 as the dropouts and stay cap treatments are consistent with this model. The serial number also matches that of known Nishiki manufacturer, Kawamura of Japan. The serial number indicates 1986 manufacture.
Edit: I went bacK and checked my archives but couldn't find a 1985 Altron 7000, so it may be a 1987 model manufactured in late 1986. The model name comes the T7000 series aluminum tubing. FYI, equipped with SunTour Sprint in 1987, 3rd from the top of the line, $799 US MSRP.
