Help ID my Bridgestone Kubaki, Submariner Mixte

Need help identifying the mfg date of a Bridgestone Kabuki Submariner Mixte. the serial number is D982716.

1. Can anyone tell me the year of this bike? and

2 if any person or company one is making a longer-than-stock seatpost for this unusual quill seat post?

Thank you. Gene

FYI the the SS tubing is partially exposed (unpainted) on this model, and the Bridgestone decal is script, the Submariner decal spells out the full word submariner in block letters. Frame paint is black, with gold accents, and partially exposed SS.

You will have to fabricate your own using parts from a long seatpost and a quill stem. I have a 1976 Supercycle Excalibur by Bridgestone but being a 23" frame the standard expanding seat post was okay.
