Geoffrey Butler Value
Hi All,
Came across this Geoffrey Butler on CL and the seller is looking for upwards of $1000.
I don't know a ton about these bikes but based on the components in the picture he can't be far off on that price right?
Thoughts on the quality and collectability of these bikes?
Thanks much!

I am interested too. Somebody offered me a bunch of bikes, including a red Butler, 531 Reynolds.

i did not see Geoffey Butler on the Classic Rendezvous site.
My guess is that this may be a frame&bike produced for the shop in England, under their name.
The value of a bike on CL is highly dependent upon the regional market and time of year.
I cannot tell the value short of a hands on inspection, or very detailed photos.

These were are fairly nice hand made bikes from Croydon England. For a lesser known basic 531 frameset with what looks to be mostly campy record stuff the price seems a bit high for CL I would think $600 or so if everything is in good working order and it's basically ready to ride. The recent sale prices I can see on these recently are for a couple similar frame set's on Ebay and the went for less than $200.

You should also take into consideration that the Denver market for higher end vintage bikes is fairly soft right now with snow on the ground and this seller has had several bikes for sale for over month all over priced no takers. I actually like the look of the Woodrup better than Butler but still well over priced for the market.
