Rear derailleur has a '73 patent but frame serial # is a '75
That brings up good point because you can "narrow" the dating of an original component bike to RD pat. However I think builders sometimes had a little bit older components in stock, and built up new original bikes as such.

Not at all unusual. If it were a '73 frame with a '75 patent it would be a different story.

Congratulations on a very good buy....as stated no worries on the dates as parts were pulled as need and depending upon what was on top it made it to the frame. Not unlike Chevrolet when selecting engine blocks for builds, closest block on the pallet pulled for the build...makes the corvette resto guys crazy trying to match numbers.

Yes as I said nice score
Not meaning to hijack a thread with "West Coast Hooey" but "GM" archives.
FYI "All" Chevrolet engine parts were cast with time date and plant information and assembled engines were "palletized" waiting for a car to arrive on the assembly line....hippo blocks separated from regular performance blocks etc. At the time of "mating the block to the chassis, engine numbers were stamped on the engine pad (passenger side).
Do you really think they had someone looking for the earliest block assembled to be put into the line so that all the blocks were mated to the cars in sequence?
Blocks heads manifolds could and did vary by months....no way to assemble engines with the same date.time and month codes. Stuff was cast at different plants and stored until ready to be used.
They did not have the time or the inclination, they picked from the front of the line just like the folks at any bicycle company did when looking for that dated campy RD....not important at the time but to some important now.

A little late to the party on this one but as others have suggested that's a $1000 bike....
In regards the 'Corvette Resto Guys'...they like to see date codes within 6 months of the cars build date.

Thanks to everyone for the help along the way! Been real busy but wanted to get pics up. Here is how I found the bike and as it currently sits. Gonna get the pedals installed and will detail the bike real soon. After I take it for a few rides I'll delve into the bearings and overhaul completely.

Very nice! That should clean up really nicely with a good polish and wax job.

I like S100, its relatively cheap and works well. Polish kind of depends on the condition of the paint.

I use Mequiar's ScratchX. It's available at just about any auto parts store. It is a good hand polish that removes minor paint flaws and dirt but will not be too aggressive for hand use. For wax I use a high content carnauba paste wax, I use Finish Kare Pink (but the S100 9volt recommended should work just as well). It has no cleaners in it, that is the job of the polish. There are many different brands available at auto parts stores as well. Your Paramount most likely is not going to see a lot of adverse weather so high price sealants aren't really required.

Wow that thing looks clean and original. I would love a blue one just like that in my size. Just don't want to drop $1200 + on it. lol
