What Trek model and year is this?

The seller does not know much since there are no decals. I've never seen a Trek in this color!

Looks like a 1998 5500.

Also, that is a pretty small frame - like 52cm or so - for a shorter rider.

Another thing to beware is that early Trek carbon and aluminum bikes did not have replaceable derailleur hangers (same with most manufacturers), so a seemingly innocuous fall or drop could possibly turn the bike into 18 lbs of scrap carbon.
