WHAT IS THE YEAR, COMPONENTS & VALUE OF 60s(?) SEARS 3 SPEED?

A friend sold this to me yesterday for $40 - he works as a helper on a dump truck & it was part of a load they picked up to take to the recycle shop.

I love the swept back look of the handlebars & the 3 peed internal hub reminds me of old Nottingham Raleigh bikes I've had in the past.

Can anyone tell me what year this was made? Where the components come from? And finally any idea of it's value? (I know it needs a good cleaning - I got it home last night & only had time to rinse off the main layer of dust - it will get the big cleaning today)

Thanks!

Looks to be a US made frame with a Shimano 3-speed hub and trigger. It's not valuable, but cleaned and tuned it should make a nice around town bike.

I would agree lower end US model likely built by Murray with Japanese components, based on the Sears branding it's from the early 70's. In it's current condition a bit rusty and in need of full service worth about $50. Ounce cleaned up a and serviced should make a nice basic around town bike.
