Is this a good deal?

Hey so I found this old bike going for a mere 20. It is a project bike and from what I can see only needs a new chain. It is however my size and was thinking it could be a good go to a place where it wont get nicked bike.

Do people think this is worth it, I am currently riding a carbolite 103 that is way too small for me 19" frame while this is a 22" frame and I am 5' 10'. Were racing bikes ever made from worst than carbolite quality?

Excellent buy. Looks to be a bicycle you could have on the road with just a few minutes work. Ultimately you would do best to go through it and repack all of the bearings, fit new tyres & cables.

Cool ill grab this then. No idea if it is renolds or anything lightweight but looks like it would be a great backup ride. How heavy you reckon the lowest hi-ten steel would be?

I would expect a curbweight in the range of 29-31 lbs.

I would agree very good buy as for weight typical for Mixte which are a bit on thee heavy side would be about 28-30 if it has alloy wheels and components and around 32-34 with steel components..
