Columbia Roadster 1968

I was given a ladies 1968 Columbia Roadster Bicycle and would like to know the value. It is in fair condition and is a blue/green color.

Welcome to Bike Forums VintageGirl67.

Without good pics it is hard to give a worthwhile appraisal. But, most of that type of bike seem to be worth around $25-50 in fair condition.

Without pics, all I can tell you is this; by the late 60's, Columbia was a seller of 'low-end' bikes, mostly at department stores. Worth little even when new, the fact that even you call it's condition "fair", plus the added detriment of it being a ladies frame, makes it sound like the value is little more than the value of scrap metal.

However, if it is mechanically sound, it could make a decent beater bike, albeit one that weighs a ton....

Late 60's low end single speed set through's aren't worth much about $75-100 in very good ready to ride condition. For one in fair condition likely needing tires and service $30-40 is a bout it. Basically on a bike like a decent set of white wall tires and basic service to make it useful will cost more than it's really worth.
