Recognise this Centurion?

Hello, I'm about to purchase this Centurion, but I don't know what model it is. It has a Suntour blue line rear and front deraileur. What model is it? Is it worth 80$? Thanks beforehand!

I think not. However, if $80 is your limit, offer $40 and spend $40 fixing it up. It will be solid.

lemans or super lemans? it looks just like the one I just bought but has the older style headbadge. I believe mine is tange 5 chro-mo main triangle and yours as well - since you have the forged drop outs with derailleur hanger. so better than your average bike boom, but not anything super great.

would I spend $80 on it? well, I actually spent more on mine -

btw: it says the model on the chainstay.. you can see it in the pic but I cant make out what it says.

Man, that thing looks rode hard & put up wet. Would make a good beater bike. Look & see if it's got threaded eylets for a rear rack & a water bottle cage. And that seat...............whoa man! If it has a nice Tange frame then, have it stripped & powdercoated. I'd see if I could get it for $50.

it has threaded eyelets on the back, no water bottle cage bosses. its a pretty basic bike - solid would be the word. but if one strapped some cages to it it might do as a touring rig. its pretty relaxed with a long wheel base and should be plenty strong!

Bring tools to make sure the seat post and stem are not stuck. Check the rims carefully for trueness, no cracks, and no dents. Bad paint condition = $40 bike as is.

The frame has the north star style head badge, so it is pre-1979. That means the Blue Line derailleurs are not OEM. Given the era and dropout with an integral hanger, it's better than a Lemans, with the likely candidates being a Super Lemans or Elite. If you buy the bicycle, the serial number and seat post diameter may provide additional clues to the exact age and model.

Big thanks! Updates coming!

Thanks guys! I'll probably be getting it in the end of next week and will be posting some updates here. I also think it's a super le mans as some of you have stated. I guess we'll have to wait and see Thanks for the replies!
