Trek 930 worth or not

Hello, I'm new to bike world. Just get myself started and find a Trek 930 bike from CL. It's over 20 years old. I'm not sure if it is worth $120. Please give some suggestion. Thank you very much.

It depends on what you want to do, and your alternatives locally.

If the bike is clean and ready to ride, and it fits you, then $120 is a bargain for a mid 90s era Trek 930. Especially since you can't get anything decent new for less tha, maybe $400 or $500.

Thanks for your input.
According to the seller, the bike is in excellent condition. I need a bike being used mostly for fun ride with my 5-yr daughter.

I'm 5'10". If the frame is small, I would pass. Thanks for the advice.

You need a frame with an 18"-19" seat tube such as shown below. Note the difference in geometry from the Staten Island Trek, in particular the length of seat tube relative to top of wheel.

I got the idea of the measurement. Thanks for the picture illustration. I would pass and look for a bigger frame size.
