1973 Super Sport
I've got this bike listed for $375, but probably am asking too much. I realize it's a niche buyer that appreciates the fillet-brazed frame, and I also know how much I put into accumulating all the parts: Suntour Sprint derailleurs, hubs, levers, pedals, and crankset, Sun rims with Pasela tires, Suntour barcons, etc.
I kind of hate to sell it, as it's one of the first bikes I renovated. But, I've got another one serving the same purpose, and am also thinning my modest herd a bit as we relocate to smaller domiciles.
So...how much above a reasonable price am I? I had it listed in a slow South Florida market for a while, and in Williamsburg, VA for a couple of weeks. My next step is to bring it back up to Michigan for the summer.
Thanks for any thoughts or opinions!

This is sweet. I'd have a hard time letting it go. Great color too. I don't think the price is out of line but I know I'd have a difficult time getting that much where I live for the bike. I wouldn't drop it much though. I'd take off the brooks to sell separately and drop the price of the bike to $325. I'd also really write a really good CL ad explaining all the things you did in your first post. People who want a good vintage bike often don't know a lot and they like to read about the bike from someone who knows the story of the bike, the quality of the frame and the parts, etc. I find a good ad showing how much work I've put into the bike and talking about the quality of the bike can make all the difference in a sale.

The Schwinn's most people are nostalgic about are the light weight lugged frame Paramounts, LeTour, Peleton, and, World Sport. The plain old electroforged bikes are not as appealing. But hang in there, somebody probably still wants that Super Sport.

You did a terrific job on this and it looks great. I'm worried though that you have the equivalent of a new 351 v8 and leather interior in a Ford Escort.
The right buyer is out there somewhere. To all others, it is probably a $225 bike.

It's priced fairly, but as noted there are going to be few buyers for this bike. Since there are few buyers, the time to reach one of those buyers may be long. Maybe become a member her and list in the for sale section, there are more than a few sophisticated buyers who are on this website.

I would say as presented it is priced fairly if not a bit on the low side with the hard to find nice upgrade detail parts like the demi fenders, seat post and barend shfiters. I would say keep it listed on CL at $400 dont lower the price whoever buys this bike will buy it wether it is $200 or $500.

Thanks for all the replies. I've got it on fleabay, but with Williamsburg, VA, local pickup only.
My Craigslist ad is very detailed, with lots of pics. I'll hang in there, and hope for the right guy to happen along.
Thanks again!
(Oddjob, I cannot believe you have not bought any bikes in 2017. Must be a typo error?)

A basic $150 bike, with Brooks Saddle, Bar End Shifters, Alloy Seatpost, nice pedals, etc.
It would be difficult for you and a buyer to come to a reasonable compromise price.

Yup, I'm faced with a common C & V dilemma...as I could probably recoup costs more effectively by parting it out and selling the frame/fork separately. Sad, but true.
Very nice Gran Turismo, by the way...clean frame, and my favorite rack.

Too bad it's not nearer to Chicago. I'd consider paying 350 for it...I'm in the market for a classic super sport and may have even hastily shot you a lowball offer.
Michigan is a hell of a lot closer to Virginia though...
