Quality frameset and looks in good condition. I don't have any experience with the Mavic bits. I know they are desired by some, but not sure if it's just a collector thing. So for value of that bike as advertised I can't really say. That bike with say, a same era Campy Chorus group, maybe priced about right or slightly high. That bike with Shimano 600 or Dura Ace , too much.

Note that it has tubular wheels, so if you're not ready to ride them, you'll have to spend for another wheelset.

Bikes: No-name LH drive track. Also ride an Exxon Graftek, a Masi, a Trek R200 or a RR Boneshaker for fun!

If this was a full Mavic group with crank (note he only says chainrings) and Mavic (or Modolo) brakes, he'd be at FMV IMHO.
As presented, without the iconic, rare, easily scratched up "starfish" crank and with cute but cheap Dia-Compe brakes, he's too high.
I like Mavic, I and many others ranked it as a C-Record alternative, as did several TdF teams (Greg and his "Z" team) in the day.
GP-4's are heavy, not the ultimate in racing rims - even though they're tubulars. Having said all that, $500 tops.
