'86 Team Fuji Flamingo

Found one for sale and the seller is asking for $300obo.

Two questions:

1.) How much would you pay for it? Seeing the seller's asking $300obo, what offer would you throw out?
2.) How much is it worth?

As far as I know, it comes complete as originally advertised (ie. all Suntour Sprint components). There are a few paint chips here and there, but overall this bike is in pristine condition being 31 years old and all.

FMV in my area would be $250-300.

I sold my 85 Flamingo TF for $250. This one looks a little bit nicer.

Clean bike. Tough size. $250 sounds right.

The price is just OK and it is a really nice bike. One likely issue is it is a very small frame with a fairly compact wheelbase so really only well suited for a rider 5'4" or so, it is way to small for whoever it is setup for now the stem and seat post are both raised an inch or so above max safety height.

If it's still got the old original tires, chain, grease etc. etc., $300 is a fair price. All spiffed up with brand new stuff would make it worth much more. Also - note the small frame size. It's a bike for those of us under 5-1/2'. Probably best for somebody right around 5' tall.

If it fits, I'd go near $300 for it.

I paid about half that price for my 85 Team Fuji, but it was nowhere near in as good of shape.

Like others said, if the consumables are original (and need replacing) you can probably work the price down some.
