Bianchi citty bike/MTB??? Help needed
So, I was looking for a vintage mtb of sorts to turn into a gravel bike/monster cross and found this thing locally. I love celeste... Now, I have spoken to the (elderly) gentleman selling this bike (for 30 usd btw) and he claims that it has a dynamo bracket on the frame, is a road bike and the model is a 859??? apparently stickered on the top tube..
google produced nothing...does anyone know of a bianchi 859? Is it a city bike or it was turned into one by a previous owner? wheels are 28 inch btw
Thank you

Sounds like a European model designation, which would be consistent with a generator tab. . 28" (700c) wheels in conjunction with cantilever brakes is indicative of a hybrid, which could be considered a city bicycle. This on looks early 1990s. Probaly entry level, based on the twist shifters. Hard to go wrong at $30 US.
