WHAT IS A POLIQUIN ULYSSE ROAD BIKE w/1 PIECE SUPER LIGHT FRAME

This was found in a storage unit won at auction. I was stoked when I saw the 1 piece frame, and even more so when I picked it up - it's as light as a feather!
But when I googled Poliquin Bikes almost nothing came up!
Are Poliquin bikes any good? It has a SunRace (not Suntour) derailleur, which I've never heard of.
What is this frame made of?
Any idea of it's age?
Any value?
Thanks all; I appreciate any help.

Looks exactly like a mid 80's Cannondale Touring bike, down to the front rack mounts on the fork blades. Certainly an aluminum frame. The SunRace rear derailleur is a cheap chinese replacement. I owned one of these, in this size, but with XCM brales and the good SunTour mountain bike derailleurs. I assume that Poliquin (...since 1945...) was the shop that sold it or repainted it (this is NOT an original Cannondale color). Are you in Canada? If so, this bike was probably from Quebec.

Worth easily $250.

What an appealing oddball. It sure looks like a Cannondale. Does it have a serial number?

I used to ride one of these when I was going to Engineering school. Had racks front and rear, with panniers, held all my heavy text books and notebooks, too. Mine had 6-speed indexing XCM, with a Nitto Rando bars, barcons, Sovos hube with box-section rims. These things were a HEAVY touring frame; look at those seatstays!

I kept that thing for more than 10 years, but ended up selling it when I had no need for a touring bike anymore....

Can't say much for this bike's paint scheme, though......

But, for god's sake, TAKE THE KICKSTAND OFF!!!!!! Aluminum frames can't thake the clamping forces. The frame may already be ruined by the idiot who put that on!

Cannondales always have a number on the drive-side chainstay.

Poliquin is a small production brand name from Quebec.

Many people from that province of Canada winter in Florida.

As noted, Poliquin was a Quebec based brand and the bicycle appears to be a rebranded Cannondale. Based on the cantilever studs in conjunction with the chain stay cable stop style, it should be a circa 1986-1987 Cannondale ST800 frameset. It is welded aluminum.
