EPX 303 - Dura-Ace/Ultegra

I'm gonna say in this condition with these components, that it's worth about $500

what say you?

(not sure at 15 years old if this is really considered vintage, but the company has been gone a long time!)

I think $500 is generous. Unknown and out of business CF start-up company; bike has been down hard on driveside, maybe multiple times, looking at rash on RD and right brifter. Newer wheels may also indicate crash, no close-up pics of frame. Maybe a pass at any price, except for parts salvaged. At least it is painted a light color, so you could look for the signs of frame issues.

I would also worry about getting a replacement derailleur hanger if that one broke. Check to see if there is availability if you decide to make an offer.

Now that I have posted above about possible problems, you mention, 'like a Calfee Luna'. So here is a pic of my Calfee TetraPro. With thread fork and the latest version with full carbon 1" threadless fork. But aluminum stem&bars. The reason I chose Tetra over Luna, other than the smoothed finish at lug lines, was the metal inserts are Ti instead of Al. This Calfee has been durable but not the only road bike except for a few years.

edit: just because the EXP uses a gusseted reinforcement at some tube junctions does not make it like a Calfee - as you know the bonded tube CF frame gets its' characteristics and durability via the specific tubes and tube joining layup.
