Ross left for dead!
I found a Ross compact 3 speed the other day I don't know much about bikes. But this was beautiful and in such good shape. I'd like to know anything about it. What's it worth? What's it made of? When it was made? Everything.

This was a basic US made (Brooklyn, NY and/or Allentown, PA) steel bike built for the youth market, say from about 8-12 years old. It filled the niche between the 20" bike they learned to ride on, and their first adult bike.
These were sold from the late sixties through the mid seventies, and in smaller towns was commonly used to ride to school. You can find more about Ross on the net, and might also search "Chain Bike Corp", which was the name of the parent company. |
Thank you! I'm having trouble figuring out what its worth as well.
