Found an old Bianchi that I might fix up for my girlfriend. Need advice!
I found an early Bianchi Sport SX on Craigslist for $120.
Pictures here: Bianchi Sport SX
She currently rides a 48cm 1988 Centurion Accordo that looks just like this except the saddle is an Alliante Sport https://oldtenspeedgallery.com/blog/w...d_edited-1.jpg
How much better is this Bianchi than the Accordo? Is it worth picking up and fixing up for $120? What will be the main differences? Please let me know!

The Sport SX has a slightly better frame, with carbon-manganese stays and forks versus hi-tensile on the Accordo. This will result in a slight weight savings. However, the Centurion does have better performing SLR brakes and lighter and stronger 700C wheels, which also provide more tyre options. Of course, that assumes the Bianchi still has the OEM spec, 27" wheels, as the wheels do appear to mismatched. The front looks like a newer replacement, so it may be indicative of a front end crash, even though I can't see any evidence of one on the fork or frame. BTW, the Bianchi Sport SX appears to be the 1986 model.

I found a set of Bianchi NTH 520 Rims in a thrift over the winter. Nothing wrong with them. Somebody wanted to upgrade. Just a guess.

Thanks for the responses and the detailed information. You guys are the best! I think my girlfriend will keep the Accordo for now. Is it worth buying the Bianchi and swapping all the parts with the Accordo? I'm thinking it's more trouble than it's worth. I was also thinking about possibly buying the Bianchi and fixing it up a little and selling it. Not sure if it's worth it though. What's it worth?
