Beautifully colored Rossin in my area
Rossin and the Raleigh are going for 150 each. I love the Rossin frame graphics on it, and it looks like it has some decent quality shifters/brakes, can't see the groupset though. I would ride this regardless of the coloring. Any info on this particular model? Also the Raleigh?

The Rossin has a circa 1986-1987 Columbus Matrix/Cromor decal but the decal graphics are newer. The components are early 1990s Shimano, either 105SC or RX100. Crank dust caps point towards the latter but it wasn't offered with a braze-on front derailleur option. Overall impression is early 1990s, lower mid-range but I'd need better pictures to be certain. Regardless, it's a deal at that price, barring major unseen issues.

I would guess Quadro. I think $150 would be good price for frame and fork alone in good shape.

Damn you guys are experts at spotting this stuff, how were you able to tell the components with this picture. Well thanks man. I looked up the bike on this vintage bike website and it's actually a rossin rc 4000 cromor, a step below the RL, and 2 behind the RLx, so about mid-tier. This site had the original catalogs so it was pretty cool. And the other guy is right too, the raleigh is grand prix.

Damn you guys are experts at spotting this stuff, the Columbus tubing is easy to spot because CroMor/Matrix is one of the few that use that silver background
how were you able to tell the components with this picture. its easy. They style of the brake calipers is definitely shipmano and the silver color is either Dura Ace or RX. The white plastic dust cap on the crank as well as color trim on the brake levers and shifter point to RX. Well thanks man. I would say pass on the Raliegh and buy now on the Rossin I would say if your quick with real cash see if the seller will take $200-220 for both. If not just take the Rossin for the asking price while a bit rough it's a great 80's bike with very nice original pink and black paint that if it has no issues the frame set is worth the asking price or more. I have seen similar quality black and pink OG paint 80's frames go for $200+ even in the current soft market.

The Raleigh is a Grand Prix. Entry to Raleigh USA's racing bike line. $150 is a fair price for it although the Rossin would be the one to grab at that price.
