Eddy Merckx Fiorucci bicycle value
My wife sent me a Facebook listing for an Eddy Merckx bicycle/for sale. It has Fiorucci on the TT behind the headtube. That is about all I can pick out from the photos. What would be a good value for this bike?

If it's the bike I'm thinking of the price $650 high for a individual face book sale. Nice bike but it's really only a upper mid level bike in slightly rough condition flat worn tires and what looks to be a repaint. Also the fact that is being advertised as for parts is not good sellers usually state this if a bike has none repairable damage.

That is it. The wife only sent me one photo. She thought it might be stolen. Thanks, I will not post it to the other thread.

My feeling is it's likely not stolen just overpriced for what it is. You have to consider being advertised as for parts on this era brifter bike your likely looking at a new set of brifter's plus, tires and consumables so even if you do all the work yourself your looking at $200-300 if you do the work yourself to make it a rider. Really the way it's being sold I couldn't see going over $400 and would be closer to $300 on value.

I had no interest at all. I just got a text from the wife. It read, "Just saw this on Facebook. Is that for real? Looks like a pretty crappy bike for that much money."
However, if nothing is wrong with the frame.........I may let it stew for a while and check back in a month. I put friction barcons on all of my bikes. 56 is the biggest frame I can comfortably ride. That might be a 58. Still, if the seller wanted to move it quickly and it sets for a while, maybe I could get it cheap.
