What does the red script say after the "UNIVEGA" sticker on the downtube? It looks a bit like an Adventure since that also has cantilever brakes with a unicrown fork. See page 21 in this catalog:

https://univegacatalogs.files.wordpr...alog-19891.pdf

But not 100% sure.

Says chromoly. I can't make out the teeny tiny white script after that though.

Very good spot, seems to be a match with the gran touring. Gunmetal grey, triple butting, suntour derailleurs, the back stockers and even the script. But I think the brakes are different.

Sorry, was reading the catalog incorrectly. I think its a Grand Touring. I got the "Adventure" from the upper left of the page. I think they are referring to the category and not the model. Ah well.

The frame you love so much is bent from a front end collision. You can see a kink in the top and down tubes near the head tube. I'd strip the components and find another love.

The catalogue specs SunTour Edge cantilevers, but Edge was a road group and didn ot have cantilever brakes, triple crank, long throw front derailleur or long cage rear derailleur. The equivalent ATB groups with these parts would have been XCD or XCE. Consequently, I think you'll find the catalogue is error and the bicycle will have a mix of Edge and XCD or XCE.
