Bianchi find. Need model info and value if possible THX
Hey guys I picked up a bicycle in an unlikely place. I haven't ridden in forever but my GF wants to start riding with the kids. Her son ans my daughter are 7 and 8 respectively and both have bicycles. MY GF is eyeing up a Huffy cruiser from facebook marketplace so we will be able to ride together soon.
The bike I found is a Bianchi Eros. I need a few more posts so that I can link some pictures. Cleaning up the thread. I had posted some small pictures but now managed to get some better ones. This is to much bike so I would like to know whatever you guys can tell me about it and its approximate worth please.
Thanks guys

I'd try to dissuade your GF from buying a Huffy cruiser. I've assembled Southwinds and they're dismal, junky machines.
The Eros looks nice. Pics are postage stamp sized though.

That's a a very nice basic upper level sports entry level race model from the 2000's this one looks to be 2006 model good over all bike you may find it a bit racy for riding with the GF and kids. As for posting bigger pics Imgur is a lot easier on forums than imageshack.

...it's pretty hard to ride a bike like that with your GF on a Huffy cruiser and the kids. It just wants to go faster than they can comfortably keep up.

I had a feeling. Thats why I posted in this section of the forum so that I can get the approximate value so that I can sell it and get something more practical. I think its all original except seat and the pedals unless the pedals on this bike come with the lock on them.

I think we're (the collective we) fairly flexible on what constitutes classic and vintage --- and a lot of guys here are diverse enough to be able to give informed opinions on newer stuff as well
I see a Celeste colored steel framed Bianchi with a 10 speed Campagnolo group --- a pretty nice machine overall - I'd guess a minimum asking price of $300 to sell quick, up to a $450 max , --- but that is also market dependent- you may live in a better area for asking top dollar

H7 means it was made in 2007. H signifies that it was manufactured in the Taiwanese factory- Hodaka. They used to also make frames for Kona and were at one time 1/3 owned by Giant Bicycles. The welding on the Bianchi Bikes from the 'Hodaka Days' IMHO is the best the company has ever seen.
My wife has a 2005 Eros Donna.. woman's Eros with the similar build group, Campy and A-Class wheels. It's a magnificent riding bike with it's Reynolds, seamlessly drawn, air hardened tube set. My wife is a 'one day a month' ride and each time she shows up for the D-ride with the local bike club, someone comments on how much they like her bike and ask her if she rides a lot because she owns a Bianchi. That's cache' for a brand!
Nevertheless, buy it if it's in good shape!

If the bike has no rust, the rim braking surface is straight and not shallowed out/work and concave, gear set is no more than 1/2 way worn, I'd say the high end-- $400 for the bike. $300 for the low price.

I accidentally deleted the folder containing the picture of the bike hence all the picture fails.
It looks like it has hardly been ridden and taken good care of. I think it's mostly stock except a few things. The seat says buzz off and the pedals are the kind where your shoe locks into them.also there is part of a garmin GPS mounted on it. It came with an indoor trainer as well.
Ill get new pics up as soon as I am able.
