2008 Colnago Extreme Power

Hello,

First post here and I was looking at a 2008 colnago extreme power, however the frame is aluminum. I know they made a few aluminum versions of their frames but I can't find any info on this specific model. Is it a real thing? Thanks!

The extreme power was a variant of the C50 (and maybe even the c59) carbon frames- the aluminum model was the Dream

OTOH, I assume it's a version with a carbon back end and thus could have had the EP chainstay s

Sounds cool- post a pic if you can

I don't have enough posts to put up a picture or a link for it. It has the extreme power paint scheme. Bike has been all redone

I saw that listing and my sense is that it is a "Fauxnago" . I'm not aware of Colnago ever making aluminum versions of their carbon frames and applying the same name. The Extreme Power is a lugged carbon frame, so it wouldn't even make sense to make a welded aluminum version.

Shop around and you'll find a Dream or Dream B-Stay for the same price as the opening bid on that one. Here's a copy of the 2008 catalog I found with a quick search.

I looked too just now -- very pretty bike, but I somewhat question a 2008 model that doesn't have carbon stays -- I'd have to verify this one by the serial number or something before placing a bid, -- the bike looks the part with the flashy paint and the carbon Campy buildup, --- but the only aluminum bike in that 08 catalog was the Arte' -- and it had carbon stays too
