Gran Sport group- worth it?

Hi all,

I've been looking for Gran Sport front and back derailleurs/shifter. This listing is selling these along with other parts from a 1950s Olmo. I don't need the crank or brakes really. Crank has Olmo stamped on it, which sort of limits it's use, but other parts look good. Are they up to standard of first gen Gran Sport? Any reason not to buy these for a 1950s/60s bike where Gran Sport is appropriate? Thanks!

Without better pictures or knowing the mechanical state of the parts, it is hard to say go ahead and buy. If the set is in good mechanical condition, go for it. Those components are very appropriate for the vintage era you are targeting. If you do buy, keep me in mind for the crank set. I would be interested in purchasing or trading for it. My guess is that we can help each other out as I have some nice cottered crank sets(Stronglight, Universal and Nervar) that are not branded for a particular model or make of bicycle, similar to this one on an old Torpado that I built up last summer...

I think the price is basically fair and they would be appropriate for the OP's build. It would be nice if they had the matching BB and brake levers to complete the group, you may want to contact the seller to see if you can get those at the same time.
