All I can add is, old inexpensive Peugeots have nice rides. If you have a chance to test it and like it, buy it.

I agree

Aubergine

I agree totally with your comment! If I'd seen it earlier I'd have it now. I guess I just like the rough and tumble stuff better than the show stoppers.

I sold a black version of this bike in Toronto for $250 a few years ago and I had a lot of interest, at least 30 emails in the first 24 hours. I sold it to the first person who emailed me but one person wanted it so bad that they begged me for the new owner's email address so that they could offer them more money for it. I declined as it seemed unethical but the person created their own ad on Craigslist begging the person to whom I sold the bike to sell it to them.

So, yeah, these are popular bikes

Good on line deals do not last long! That you probably know by now. Taking the time to ask us if it is a good buy is wasting time that should be invested in getting to the good deal as fast as you can. We have, probably, all learned that lesson ourselves. I know that I have. Anyway...

Learn a bit about Vintage Bicycle Quality and then you will be better able to make educated decisions regarding the quality of a bicycle. Armed with that information you can move quickly when deals come up. And move quickly means just that - even take an hour off of work to go look, with money in your pocket, if you have to.

Also, take the time to look through Craigslist every day to see what the prices and bikes look like. Look at completed ebay auctions, again to get a feel for price. With this knowledge, you will, once again, be better prepared to make an educated decision.

Hope that is a help and, for what it is worth, this Super Sport and I shared 4000 miles one year. They are really nice lower end bikes, in my opinion and more than one has come my way...

Good deal

Randy Jawa

I knew it was a good deal, just don't have any room left in my garage so wanted everyone to know it was there. I've listed a few I saw that might be nice for others who might be interested but I have promised myself up and down - no more bikes, unless in find a real steal or something I can't live without........
