Question About a Schwinn "Hornet"

Hi, I'm new to the site and while I love vintage/antique bikes, I don't have much knowledge on them. There is an antique Schwinn for sale in my area, and the seller listed it as a "Chicago manufactured" 1952 Schwinn Hornet. According to the seller the serial number is "KA2S02" (KA2502?). But, I've looked into a few sources online and found that the serial number says it was manufactured in October of 1965? Also, according to these online sources, the Hornet lasted until 1964.... am I mistaken? I very well could be, but did they maybe list it under the wrong name? Attached are pictures of the bike, looking for info and a possible explanation, thank you in advance.

It looks like a balloon tire bike which was last made in 1964 (Wasp), however the chainguard doesn't match. It also doesn't look like a '52 model and the serial number doesn't match 1965 unless a digit is missing. I would need to see a clear close-up pic of the serial number to be of more help.

That serial appears to have been stamped on 10/08/1965: THE SCHWINN DATE CODES BY YEAR,MONTH AND DAY

In that case it may be a Deluxe Typhoon:
