Nice bike. Probably from the mid 80's or early 90's. Unfortunately not highly sought after. In the current shape, maybe $200. If cleaned up and ready to ride, perhaps $300.

The front derailleur is a Shimano Z205 mated with what appears to be a Shimano Light Action rear derailleur and Shimano SL-424 SIS shift levers. Brakes appear to be Shimano BR-Z750. Main triangle is Tange #2 mated to Tange Mangalloy 2001 forks. The stays are likely Mangaloy also. Interesting that it appears to have a ShimanoNew 600EX headset with the scalloped locknut. All this adds up to a circa 1986-1987 model on the cusp of entry level and mid-range. It has replacement hoods, torn bar tape, a missing pedal cap, flat tyre(s) and overall fair condition.

Bicycles similar to this, sold for approximately $300 US, new in 1986. I'd place current value at $125 US, in an average market, assuming all pictured accessories are included.

Agree with $125-ish.

I sold a similar, super-clean Novara for $175 on Ebay a few years back.

While there is potential in up valuing the bike, it requires all the usual consumables and a full overhaul. As presented, IMHO, fmv is $75-$80. Novara is the REI house brand, but not exactly a highly sought after mark.
