Groupset values?
I had a question about a particular bike, and could not find much info on the value of a the various groupsets found on vintage bikes, if separated from the frame because of fit or condition issues. Right now I'm sort of focussed on 80's and 90's mountain and touring sets, but my interests/acquisition disorder is shifting towards Sports Touring/Randonneuring bikes. Are there any resources online that focus on groupsets? Thanks, Woody

There are no easy solutions, you are going to have to cull through ebay sold comps.

+1. FWIW, many folks here will buy a bike just for its components. We call them "donor bikes" for obvious reasons. Sometimes it is the cheapest way. If you get really lucky you find a broken or otherwise unusable bike/frame that has cherry components on it cheap.
