Marin is a well respected brand. Looking online it appears the recent Veronas are carbon frames and that bike does not appear to be, but I can't tell what it is from that pic.

For a while Marin bikes were built by Bilato Bros, so quality frames. I think more recent years, tend toward the mass market brand. At any rate, they will frequently have nice groupsets and it’s a brand I look out for as parts donors, even if the frame isn’t up to snuff.
I think I might spy a Columbus sticker on that one.

How is $160 for this bike?

Bicycle Bluebook has nothing to do with reality. Impossible to tell condition from the picture. If there's no structural damage, $160 is anywhere from an OK to a fantastic deal.

I think $160 is a great price. Thron tubing isn’t top end but people seem to like it. I’ve never ridden Thron before.

Still learning
@Danbianchi881 just brought it over to my house. Great score again Dan! I will just let you be my bike buyer in the future.
The reason you need to spot me an hour if we ride together, besides size, is you are also 1/2 my age or less.
