Peugeot of some sort

Just curious what this is and what it would be worth. It's not mine, it's just a post on craigslist. Not my size so I have no intention of going to look at it either. The lugs look nice.

It's the good one, PX-10, Reynolds 531 frame. I would pay the ad's asking price, as it is FMV in condition as displayed . They can command more, but this one has bad paint on the main tubes, likely needs a full overhaul, has a Suntour derailleur, and the seat post is on backwards.

I don't have any bikes with nice lugs. Plenty of peugeots on cl but this one does look fancier and is priced at $150 US. The ad makes it seem like the guy doesn't really know much about it. It says it's part of an estate sale. It's an hour or so away from me but I'd buy it if only it were the right size...

Yes, PX 10. Excellent bike.

I would agree it's a PX-10 from around 1970 very nice arabesque Nervex lugs. The condition is a bit rough and the a lot of the components are none original and just OK whee let, seat and post and rear derailleur. As presented I would put the value at $250-300 would be a good deal if its the right size but not really a good flipping candidate in the current market.

You could always buy it, then look for someone who wants to trade for one that is your right size. As a frame, the only real detractor would be that it has a Suntour RD, which means the dropout mount has probably been tapped for it to fit. I say probably, because the PX-10 I bought in my size had a Suntour RD, but it wasn't drilled out, just screwed into the hole without any retaining bolt, so it cleaned up okay for the OEM RD. Parted out, you could easily get more than double your money for the F & F, Stronglight crankset, Lyotard pedals, Mafac Racer levers and calipers, and the stem and bars, etc. If it was near me, I'd buy it in a minute, and it's way too large for me.

Yah, that bike is on the biggly side. Most likely at least a 58cm or maybe a 60.
But at $150, it looks to be quite a bargain, especially if it happens to be your size.....

Tempting but I think more work than I'm prepared for to trade or sell parts.

It does look big. The ad says rider was 5'11".
