I have a brand new limited edition VCP Clicquot bicycle . It's bright orangish yellow . I believe it's a custom made thru Veuve Clicquot

I have always wondered how folks are able to train bats to operate a camera.

...if you bought it brand new, why are you asking what it's worth ? :wtf:

Looks kinda Dutch-bikeish...so I guess whatever those are going for used right now.

Despite what most people think, the "Limited Edition" moniker, they tag some things with, does not guarantee the rising or even maintenance of value after some years. Only time when Limited Edition bikes do guarantee appreciation in value is when they are really truly special, with the very best materials and finish that could have been iffered st that time and fanciest, top of the line, similarly limited issue components, installed on them.
Unfortunately, I don't think this famous Champagne Company marketing special meets those credentials.....
It's still a niche market bike though, and there must be some people out there thst look for these particular type of bike. I would say, Maybe $250 max on a very good day, in a hot market area, to the right buyer....if it is in mint/new condition. Otherwise maybe $200 max in "usual" conditions.

Bike might be better than it appears at first blush. It has a Brooks saddle for starters. There are a bunch that come up in a google search. They apparently attract interest from some folks.

Honestly, that's the best picture you could take?

Is this a give away for sending in 1000 champagne corks?

Chombi1 01-28-18 11:04 AM

Looks like the subject bike could be missing the cute mailbox- like container at back that must have been sized to contain a Champagne bottle. It would be good to find it and re-install it on the bike, to get max value if sold......

A Dutch Harley.

.
...based on style and that magnificent color, my surmise is that this is targeted at the "Cycle Chic" crowd.

I see quite a few of them around town here, bearing their owners in skirts and boots on their way about their daily routine.

Chombi1 01-28-18 01:43 PM

BG, You've been known to put a wine bottle or two in your bottle cages. Maybe you should consider getting one of these for those really laid back rides!:D
I don't know about carrying Champagne on a bike though..... Popping the cork can get really messy after it is shaken up...

You may be right. But it's tough to see the Oil leaks when it's hanging upside down like that.

Hi there,
Does this actually have the veuve clicquot branding on it?
If you were looking to sell it on I may have someone interested if you could provide clearer pictures?
Thanks.

Those are actually sold in France with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot inside. I love Veuve Clicquot (it is our favorite in the US if not in France, where the selection is rather larger) but I think I will pass on the mailbox or bike.

I used to buy Veuve Clicquot in the 90's but it seems like it got quite a bit more expensive, since.....:(
Curious to what happened to the subject bike. Definitely was a sort of niche collector's item, but a person with something like a "Bud" or a "Martini" bike, if there ever were bikes made as such, might have paid top dollar for it.

T-Mar 07-17-18 05:59 AM

Actually I've seen a few "Martini" bicycles but I think forums members are holding out for a "Cinzano" bicycle...;)

"I don't know about carrying Champagne on a bike though....." @Chombi1 Right you are. It's more down market but my advice is similar re: Coca Cola in your bottle cage.

Hello I see your post from 2018. Do you still have the VCP Clicquot Bike? IF so, would you be interested in selling it?

Kind Regards,
Justin
