Cannondale 50th Anniversary Bike? Can't Find Others

I found this yesterday at a local thrift store. I bought it because it's a old school Cannondale but also because it's a 50th anniversary edition.
Except I can't find any other examples! Did Cannondale make a 50th anniversary bike - or was this a promo bike for Mack Cycles (a well known bike shop here in Miami)?
The 50th Anniversary across the top frame is painted, not a sticker.
Can anyone tell me what model Cannondale it is? What year? (with that derailleur & gear shift indicator I'm thinking this is a early 90s?)
I appreciate any help.

Cannondale was founded in 1971. Only 47 years ago.

I suggest looking in the Cannondale 2007 catalog.

I did & they all look more modern than this one - including a single front fork one that looked futuristic to me today!

It looks like the Adventure 400 series in that Cannondale catalog. It may be off by a year or 2 which is why yours is red. The model may be under the paint, but you may be able to confirm by comparing parts.

cb400bill's math checked out. I was about to make the same calculation based on the "About Us" page of Mack Cycle.

Components look like a match for a 2007 Cannondale Adventure 400, their bottom rung comfort hybrid. It wasn't offered in red that year, but then again, the panel on the top tube that would normally say "Adventure 400" says "50th Anniversary" instead, so maybe the shop ordered some that way. Certainly not more valuable than a normal model.

Maybe 50th anniversary of some random business that gave a bike away as a spiff?

I would agree on a 2006-2007 bottom end model based on components. As for Value I would put it at $150 if everything is in great shape.

I don't believe Cannondale started selling bikes until 1983. Or just prior. Definitely a shop thing.

Custom factory paint? For a while they were doing that.
