Appraise my mid 80s Italian Ciocc

I bought the frame and fork as a project a few years back and finally completed the build up two months ago. As I've always had Shimano components that's the build route I took while also trying to keep with the vintage look.

I installed a new Italian thread triple bottom bracket

Pulled the 105 drive train components (triple crank, FD, long cage RD, 7 speed hub from my Raleigh Pro-Technium that I converted to a triple back in 2003. These components only have 300 miles on them as the bike was stored in doors after being replaced with a Waterford.

Brakes are RX 100
Downtube shifters RX 100
Selle Italia titanium Flite seat
hubs are Shimano 600 with made in US Matrix rims.
cleaned and greased Hinault Strong Tight headset

Frame is blue metallic with white decals. Overall very nice frame. I touched up any nicks. most of the decals look good but a fun have worn.

Fork is chrome with some surface rust. I've been slowly polishing it out.

Just trying to get a Idea on what it's worth? Will post pics later today

Dave

Depends on the Ciocc frame. To me the only really nice ones were the early 1980's which had the ciocc cutouts and tear drop lugs. Mid to later 1980's ones are worth less. If it's a mid to late 1980's frame depending on the condition I'd say $300-400 range for the frame. Components are not that great and if they were period campy would increase it's value a lot. I think if you sold this bike on say ebay it would fetch about 450-500.

You might want to take a look at rule #1 for this forum section. Pretty much everyone ignores it but you might not want to break it in your post title. That said we would really need pictures to give you an evaluation as it is the frame that will hold all the value here.

Yes the title was my bad as I should have just asked for help with valuation

To be honest I'm still debating if I should keep. I have no idea what this bike would be worth as that would influence my decision.

I am going to agree that 1 we need god pics of the frame and 2 despite all your hard work completing this your likely better off selling the frame and fork without the parts except the headset and seat binder.
