Phillips; Help ID
Hello everyone,
My cousin recently passed away. He had a Phillips, 10 speed bicycle which I believe he purchased new as a teen. The bike has a Phillips Birmingham head tube badge, and a Cyclo Benelux rear derailleur. Pictures attached. Would like to know if anyone knows precisely what model this is (Kingfisher?) and if there is any associated value. Thanks!

All of the drop bar models, including Kingfisher, shown in this 1957 catalogue are illustrated as coming with mudguards. It is possible that your cousin removed them from their example. This was a common practice to make the bike "racier."

@juvela, thank you.
Since the bike has the pump pegs on the downtube, does that ID the bike as a Kingfisher? From your catalog (thanks!) it looks like all the other models have pump pegs on the top tube.
Yes, I presume he may have removed the fenders; he lived in So. California, so fenders generally not needed.

Nice bike worth about $200-250 as presented. As noted the missing fenders and likely drewed frame and fork braze on mounting pount hurt value some.
