Titan bar and stem
What would be a reasonable sale price for this set? The diameter on the bars is the same as drops, so cruiser brake handles don't fit. Dated 1954

for completed transactions you would do best to search ebay.be and ebay.nl as well as marktplaats.nl, if they have such a function.

Made in Tielt, Belgium, Titan bars, stems and seatposts were very popular BITD and found on many high end bikes in the low countries. The racing sets are quite sought after these days, especially the early ones. I always keep an eye out for them. €50 - €75 these days at swap meets, depending on condition. Some online specialists ask way more than that.
These touring sets, aimed at more upright sports bikes, are less popular, so €30 - €50 is what I'd want to pay for a nice set.
This is a nice one. Predates 1957, as Rik van Steenbergen's name is missing (he became world champion that year).
This one is probably from 1958:

There is often a 2 digit date code on the underside of the bars near where the stem attaches. Let us know, for interest sake.
Cheers.

Thanks so much for this outstanding information @non-fixie!

My perception is that Titan stem & bar products are not very well known or sought after here in North America. It may be that market values and salability are lower here than in the payes bas.
No claim to expertise.

The market value in your area may be lower, as @juvela states, but if you need one and this is the only one available it's not a bad deal, IMO.
Also, keep in mind that "the price is soon forgotten, but the quality remains".

Sprechening o' Titan -
@non-fixie do you have any idea if there is a connection between Titan stem & bar products and the frame tubing brand of Titan? Have been guessing not but you may know for sure...
The topic of Titan frame tubing came up recently in a disucssion of a new arrival taken in by member @CV-6. The frame's steerer was stamped "TITAN." I was able to locate this Titan frame tubing transfer.

I saw that, but no, I've never heard of it. Titan have always been really famous for their bars, at least in my area. There's even an GP Guidon Titan retro ride.
