Picked up at goodwill. I think a former bike messenger owned it because he spray painted it

If you can, read the SN on the bottom bracket shell and run the numbers at the Vintage Trek site and find the year and model. Would love to know more about it.

Judging by the dropouts, it's something worthy under all that ugly. Upper mid range at least.

Yeah I was told the bike messengers paint them so they will look less attractive and hopefully thieves will over look them.
That paint is pretty bad tho lol
