Help Needed With This Italian? Beauty
Donicelli Road Bike From the Early 80's I believe. Beautiful Paint. Anyone heard of this manufacturer? Thoughts on value?

I recognize this bicycle. It was the subject of a forum inquiry a couple of months ago. https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...donicelli.html
Doniselli was founded in 1919 and are still in business. There is some history on their website, https://www.doniselli.it/s/chi-siamo-468.html .
Given the absence of Portacatena dropouts, I'd place this closer to mid-1980s, circa 1983-1985. It's very much a frankenbike with the components covering a wide value range. However, the biggest unknown factor affecting the value is the tubeset. Given that there does not appear to be any tubing decal, what diameter of seat post does it use? Also, are there five helical ridges inside the bottom of the fork's steerer tube? These two pieces of information will give us a good idea of the tubing grade and possibly even to identify the tubeset.

I would agree on the dating being 83-85 given some of the frame details and the components. It looks to have likely been sold as frame set and shop built up with a lot of the components likely changed over the years. With the current components most of the value is going to be in the frame set so as said determining value will depend largely on the tube set.
