Is this Schwinn Super Sport worth the asking price of $360?

Doesn't look like one of the classic fillet brazed ones to me.

It's one of the aluminum frames - you can see the 7000 frame sticker in the last photo.

It's a decent if not exciting bike, and it has brifters. If it were in better shape, the asking price would not be out of line in my market.

But take a close look at some of the parts. There is significant corrosion on the top of the stem. Ditto around the bottle fittings. I'm thinking this bike has led a hard life with storage outdoors or perhaps indoors after being left wet. Surprises may lurk within. I'd pass.

The paint around the bottle bosses concerns me. And I agree that it is not a classic SS; the sticker above the bottom bracket seems to be for aluminum tubing alloy.

Why bother? Looks like it has some wear and cosmetic issues right off the bat. It's not C&V. Might as well check out Bikes Direct, Bike Island, Nashbar, Performance orJensen for deals on a new bike.
