What is this Peugeot fixie conversion?
Found this on a local website and I'm interested in it, as commuting with my PX10 is too valuable and high maintenance for daily commuting. What is this frame and what's it worth?
EDIT: image didn't work so here's the link:

It looks like a later model (late 1970’s) U-08 with a replacement front fork and only one Mafac brake remains due to the fixie rear wheel. Probably worth $225-$275 to a motivated buyer.

Ii is a 70's AE series frame lowest end touring light sports model frame with replacement everything. Not a great FG/SS conversion I would say worth about $175-200 to the right buyer, yet if I was looking to buy I would pass on this one. The 700c track fork on the 27 inch sports touring frame with the single iffy front brake looks a bit scary basically unsafe to ride on the street.

For close to the prices above you can buy a brand new SS/FG bike on line. There you get everything brand new, flip flop hub, in the size, color, handlebar style, and whatever you want. I would prefer a new one over a mucked up bottom end Peugeot. Very questionable/sketchy fork choice. PASS.
I rarely recommend new stuff, I am a vintage guy. If I wanted a vintage FG/SS, I'd be looking for something better, that originally came with 700C wheels, a mid level 1980s Japanese bike. If you don't have to have FG, such a conversion can be done very cheaply.

Poor 'ol thing --- I almost wish I hadn't opened the link to look at that. I'll bet it handles just dandy judging by the rake on that track fork vs the elegant curve of the fork it would've originally came with

incazzare.
I could not sell that bike for the numbers quoted above, even here in Brooklyn, which is a really hot market.
$150 maybe.
