Trek 400 series value?
Looking to get a value on this thing. Worth it to get road ready or better off with parting it out?

New tires and wipe it down - hard to get more than $250 for these even in mint condition.

Looks like an '85 Trek 410, 19" frame. You can check out the '85 catalog on vintage-trek.com for details:

I suspect the bike's condition is going to have a negative effect on sale price. The small size may limit the pool of prospective buyers, too. New tires, bar tape, and a thorough cleaning would help a lot with presentation without costing much. Even then, I don't know if you'll be able to clear $200.
Raising the saddle a little may help with appearance, too. It would also confirm that the seatpost isn't stuck, which would be a potential gotcha that an experienced buyer would check or ask about.

I paid $175 for this 1985 Trek 410 recently (northeastern US) - everything in good working order. If you look on ebay you will see various prices for the Campy 'Triomphe' components - give you some idea of what you might get if you part it out.
The small frame size of yours may limit interest as mentioned by another poster.
You could try cleaning it and putting it on Craigslist first before bothering to take it apart and trying to sell the pieces.

I don't see the slightly rough lower end Campy stuff clearing enough for part out to make sense. As said probably best to do a basic cleanup some tires and tape and sell it locally. Nicely presented I would say $225 or so in the current California market.
