Unknown Make or Value (Italian??)
Hi guys...Sorry about the poor pics but the bike was inside a trailer with a bunch of other stuff and other bikes...Hindsight I probably should have used my flash...Anyways these are the pics I managed to take inside the crowded trailer....I did manage to get a partial one of the front badge....Was curious if anyone can guess the make and possible value ? Also, what kind of rims are those ? I am not familiar with them at all...thanks.

The make is Miele - just like it says on the head tube badge; it's Canadian - as indicated by the sticker above the shift levers

Miele's are pretty good bikes with a strong following.
Kinda in the middle of the market, in terms of popularity/brand recognition, so never considered as in he same level as "grail brands" like Colnago, Masi or De Rosa by most collectors.
They did make high line models that were competitive with the bike world market, but it is hard to tell what exactly the bike is all about with the limited views in the pics posted. The components, if they are original, (Shimano 105) hints at a mid level model. What I do not like seeing though is what looks like a crudely applied spray bomb partial black paint job on the frame, which might be a sign of some rust or really bad paint damage is being hidden. If those aero wheels are real carbon, and in good shape. they will have some significant value, maybe at least a 100 bucks, all cleaned up and ready to roll,. Though, as-is, as a whole bike, I would not offer more than 75 bucks for that particular, very neglected bike that will need a lot of work and money to get back to full road-worthiness and originality, if that what you are looking for. You may be lucky and a jewel of a bike might be under all that dirt and paint, but definitely a risky buy at any price.

IMO, it's easily worth $250 for the Spin tri-spokes alone, provided there are no major issues with them beyond behind typical wear and tear. Most of them were bought by triathletes in the 650C version, so the fact that they're 700C is a bonus and you really luck out if it's cassette as opposed to freewheel. Check out the recent sold listings on Ebay.
As for the bicycle itself, it doesn't appear to be special. It's circa 1986-1989 and appears to be upper entry level with some upgrades. Or is it better with some downgrades? It's hard to tell but I'm leaning towards the former. Worth thousands? No! It might have originally came in at around $1k because of the Spin wheels and Look pedals.
For $250, I think it's worth digging out and having a closer inspection, especially the condition of the wheels, which make or break the deal.
Edit: As previously mentioned it's a Canadian brand but with Italian heritage and styling. Given the apparent level, it may be contract manufactured in Asia. Miele was as a full range brand, offering good value at all price points.
