Mariushi RX-7 (80's)
Found a Mariushi RX-7 with new shifter, pedals, bottom bracket, and seat on CL, listed for $180. Couldn't find much about the value of these bikes online. Thinking about getting this for as my first road bike. I'm not attached to the vintage part, just want to get a road bike on a budget. Would appreciate any help. Can't post photos yet, account too new.

Here are the details on the bike from the seller:
"53cm, traditional geometry (so about 53 x 53). Shimano Exage SIS BioPace groupset, Araya 7000 rims, Tange fork and EXO quadruple butted frame, Specialized Myth saddle and grip tape, Shimano 105 rear derailleur, Continental GatorHardshell tires, original saddle/pedals/water bottle cage included.
I'm the second owner of this bike and got it directly from the original 1980's purchaser back in Denver. I have LOVED it over the last three years and put it through the paces both in City life and up here on long rides in Sonoma County.
I've recently had both hubs rebuilt, the bottom bracket rebuilt, the brakes rebuilt, all new cables, and brand new tubes/grip tape installed. "

That is the circa 1988-1989 version. It would be considered upper entry level for its era and original MSRP was 425-$450 US price range. Claimed weight was 25 lbs.The 105 replacement rear derailleur adds a bit of value but the pedals remove it. While only entry level, Exage has quite good shifting and braking performance. The rims, while 700C, aren't a full box section model but the SS-45 with channel sections. Cosmetic condition is only fair and mechanical condition doesn't appear to be much better. It hasn't sold in four days, so the is high for the market.

Maruishi "Alu-Tech"
I've found an old Maruishi road bike. Aluminum frame with shimano 105 components. The only labels on the bike are "Maruishi", "Made in Japan", "Aluminum Series 7000", "Alu-Tech", and 3 yellow/red/blue pictures showing running, biking, swimming.
Has anybody heard of this model? Comments?
Thanks,
tor

tor94306, please do not post your same inquiry across multiple threads. One is plenty.

OK - sorry. Was trying to navigate my way around. I started a new thread on this Appraisals section and another on the Vintage bikes section. Should I delete one?

Thanks!
Sorry, I did not reply yesterday but hit a 5 post limit.
My bike is the same as the pictured one, just blue with many more scratches and damage to the paint!
Thanks again,
tor

It would appear that the bike is from the mid-1980's. Do aluminum frame bikes last? I had read elsewhere that the frames are too brittle.
