Mystery frame ID (maybe Italian?)
Alright you glorious hive mind....I picked this bike up recently, but have absolutely ZERO clue what it is. It honestly doesn't seem that old because of the headtube/fork area, but I didn't see another bike ID subforum...
Anyways, I am completely baffled by this. I bought it as a single speed, but the stuff that seemed to be original to the bike (opposed to the crappy ss wheelset, eighth inch cranks etc) were campagnolo. (bb, seatpost, etc) The one really big defining feature is how the seatpost is secured in place. Its just one hex bolt on the very back of the seattube, and it just threads directly into the frame. Also, the Campagnolo logo on the headtube is just a sticker. I assume that was not original because the sticker was applied over the clear coat Braze on front derailleur and the bb shell isn't exactly a cylinder. it bulges out in the middle. The serial number was just 1 letter followed by three numbers. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...a1008cc099.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...3ba959917a.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...26e0141b38.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...c8e4af82d5.jpg |
I can add nothing but it does look interesting. Hope someone can ID for you.
