Firenze GL5000
My father's friend scored this bike a few years back at the local bike kitchen and he moved, si he passed it on to me. Is this bike worth it to fix up(with a rear wheel attached, of course); if so, what would it be worth (with new deraileurs and brake cables, housing and maybe calipers)?
Or would it be better just to strip down and build into a single speed, (as I tend ro do on bikes that aren't worth the gears)
Or is it utter junk(no straight bike is utter junk in my book) that deserves to be tossed out?
This bike has much better clearance (if I do convert it) for my tyres I want for my winter commuter in singlespeed

If you would like to understand what they are and their place in the cosmos you could employ the forum's search function to pull them up.
Not much point in covering old ground for the umpteenth time.
Your example has received some upgrades from its stock configuration which is a plus.

Bike's value is about scrap metal, except the crankset has value. Hard to use the word "score" in regards to a Firenze 5000.
I would not put one dollar into that bike, but again, I'd rescue that crankset for sure!
This one is in the utter junk category.

You can increase this bike's value by locating the original fridge or TV it came with. Bonus points if it includes the power cable.
