If the Bridgestone is a bit large, I am expecting this one to be a bit small. But I was looking for thoughts, insights, into an Ironman. I think the geometry is a bit more aggressive than I want.

Nice bike. I am surprised somebody is not saying it's a $400 bike....
I had a 54 regular Ironman. It was nice. I never liked the color scheme on these bikes. Others love them. Mine needed nothing and I got $180 for it with a two whole replies in four months. Guy that bought it was surprised I was selling it for $180. He was French, and working in DC. I might have got a little more if somebody had got off their ass sooner. Still only $200.
The bike was comfortable to ride, but I need a 56, or 57, can sneak by with a 58. I found 54 a bit small (After I road around on a 48 CM Bianchi for four years
)
I originally paid $35 for it, with almost flawless paint. Consumables jacked that up of course.

You may need a more modern bike for a more relaxed frame geometry. Modern is taboo. Booooooo

I'd value that Ironman in its condition between 200 and 250 so 175 seems like a good deal. Be advised that 54cm measures closer to a 53 cm and those components are a little difficult to replace if need be. And Fwiw that saddle is not original.
As far as geometry and the like, it's not Nineties triathlon geometry so it's not Steep. It's made to ride all day or as much as your fitness can handle. Stable yet Agile.

DZ,
I think that at 175 it is a good deal...if the bike were in Los Angeles I would put an offer on it, some do not like GPX but the ones that I have present no issues.
Best, Ben
