New Find; 1950s? Ladies Schwinn Panther
I found this today at a local thrift store - but they knew it was something unique from the design I guess because it cost me $200!
But besides the headlight cover missing & it's battery compartment pretty much rusted out, the rest of the bike is dirty but in really good condition. The Schwinn Cyclone tires held air & when I rode it around the neighborhood it was nice - the springer front end made for a very soft ride.
Being a ladies bike it's probably not worth as much as a guy's version, but what is it worth?
Also is there a way to tell what year it is?
Thanks, I appreciate any help.

I sold one like yours,, even with the missing top of the light for 180, some time ago.
Probably the parts are worth more than 250...300$. But now the market is very slow.
You can check the serial number, probably located on the left rear stay.

Puzzled, you sold it for $20 less without the light, but his is worth $70- 120 more now in parts in a depressed market where people have a hard time getting realistic prices for quality vintage bikes in nice condition that need nothing. Not this thing that looks like a lawn ornament in Indiana.

An older bike, not a girls bike, and in better condition it would have been a score. Not this bike, in this condition, for that price.
Maybe you will make $200 on it. Maybe. Bikes like this are a very niche market.
