was this a cheapo bike back in the days? I found one for $25 but what surprised me most is how light the frame is...it feels almost titanium in appearance. I canīt find a "made in" sticker anywhere so perhaps this was made in USA? The parts are mostly deore LX...

This is a fine bike and at $25 an excellent score. Vintage MTBs rock; enjoy yours. I'd pay $25 for one of these all day long.

Restoring? No. Repairing what needs to be repaired and riding it? Sure, depending who does the work, and how resourceful you are.

Deore LX equipped bicycles were generally considered to be mid-range models. Whether or not this is worth repairing and riding will depend on the condition. Any vintage bicycle can quickly turn into a money pit if it has suffered a lot of wear and tear, and this is far more prominent with ATBs, given the conditions in which they were ridden.

sorry I donīt have actual pics but it looks like only front, rear derailleur, front brake and crankset are still LX deore. The other parts have been replaced. There was however a lot of Ritchey parts like there was some sort of collaboration. The quality of the workmanship on the frame is not bad. I think I will convert this to a gravel bike.
