1970's? Cresent Value
Bought this bike from a strata sale. 1970's (guessed for ID stickers) Cresent. Found the crank interesting. I like old and interesting bikes. So far I've left it alone as I don't want my ignorance to ruin any value it may be holding. Its got a Made in Sweden sticker. I'm curious to what the gold sticker on the down tube was related to.

...the crank you find interesting is a Fauber crank. they are a little "different", but very durable.
I posted some photos of a disassembly and service procedure in this thread.
Generally speaking, you only see them on Crescent's and on DBS's. Crescent is most notable for the Crescent Girl posters they used in advertising.

The bicycles themselves are a little bit too obscure to have much value in the olde bicycle marketplace. They did sell one Reynolds 531 model (which might have had the frames made by someone else for them.) Yours is not that one, and even that one is not especially valued. Maybe they are more appreciated in Scandinavia.

Any bike with checkered flag decals gets my attention....and painted orange to boot. Its a cool early 70's bike that no one heard of until their famous ads started showing up in Bicycling magazine. The Gold decal is referencing a lst place World Championship victory by a cyclist on a Cresent...Varldsmastar...world master...World Champion. Not worth a lot of money but an interesting bike. Clean it up and ride it. Value with good tires and a clean and wax...$125.

FYI,the subject bicycle is a Crescent Sport 305, circa 1974.
I don't know what the gold sticker is but based on the '79-'80 text, I presume it's not original to the bicycle. Given the large V and your location, might it be a Vancouver bicycle registration sticker from 1979-1980?

Very little value, entry level bike, nothing special. Add the typical crazy Vancouver, BC premium to it.
