Is it a good deal? Peugeot Super Sport
offered $300 for this bike newyork.craigslist.org/brk/bik/d/beautiful-white-snow-peugeot/6745743400.html
is this a good deal? I had my bike just stolen and looking for a more economic vintage bike that I can ride in the city.

Bad example
Here is the working link:

IMO this is not a good deal. Although Peugeot’s Carbolite frames are nice bikes, this one has steel wheels and is otherwise a low-end model. The steel wheels alone drop this down to a $100 bike, even in NY.

Yeh, as stated before the steel wheelset is an instant price drop. The stem shifters would turn me off too. Are you very tall because that is a large frame. I am a NYC local also and wouldn’t pay more than $125. It needs at least a new wheelset.

Thank you all. Yes - I’m 6’3 so it’s hard to find a bike that fits my size comfortably.
Because im new to the forum I can’t get links to work or private messages - so thank you Aubergine for the follow up with the working link. I’m looking for an old vintage bike that has less chances of being stolen, as I’m right now on my third bike of being stolen. Any leads greatly appreciated - I’m in the Brooklyn area of NYC.
